BRENDAN RODGERS has confirmed the news Kieran Tierney is close to an onfield return after two months out of action with a hip injury.

We reported earlier today the player had rejoined full training for the first time since December. During the worst of his injury, Kieran had to train alone and even at the start of this week when he got back onto the turf at Lennoxtown he was training alone.

Rodgers believes the player is now in a position to get some game time.

Celtic have a tough run of games coming up and with Izaguirre being a doubt for Sunday’s game against St Johnstone, will the Celtic manager give Tierney sixty or so minutes before the Valencia game on Thursday?

Celtic have missed their top star for quite some time, Izzy has been doing well to deputise in his absence but the fans are eager to see their bhoy back in action and hopefully, it won’t be too long now.
