Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers stressed the importance of each of the Hoops’ Champions League matches this season when speaking to CeltsAreHere yesterday.

The boss is preparing his side to face RB Leipzig on matchday four this evening, as he looks to produce another famous European night against the Bundesliga outfit.
With four points from their opening three games, the Bhoys are in a prosperous position heading into tonight’s match.
A win would put them on the brink of last-16 play-off qualification, but if Leipzig emerges victorious, there are many other opportunities for Celts to pick up points.
Indeed, yesterday, the boss emphasised the importance of each of his side’s league phase matches, describing them as ‘cup finals’.
“Every game for us at this level is a cup final,” Rodgers told CeltsAreHere.
“I mentioned that right at the beginning of this competition to our players. We have eight finals to see if we can get into that playoff stage.”
Celtic have already played out their toughest league phase matches.
Tonight will undoubtedly be a stern test, but with the electric Celtic Park crowd behind them, the players will look to create a memorable European evening.
Rodgers’ men couldn’t be in better form going into the game after keeping four consecutive clean sheets in their last four games and putting six past closest domestic challengers Aberdeen at the weekend.
It was an ultimate show of footballing dominance from the Bhoys at Hampden, which they will look to carry into tonight’s match.
Kick-off tonight is at 8 pm. The action is live on TNT Sports.
