BRENDAN RODGERS has given the Celtic support a major boost ahead of this weekends Glasgow Derby by declaring Scott Sinclair is fit!
The Englishman sat out Celtic’s 2-0 win at Dundee after picking up a slight ankle injury against Aberdeen last weekend. However, the Celtic manager has given the green light for Scotty to start on Saturday which is bad news for The Rangers.
“He should be fine,” Rodgers said. “He took a whack on his ankle and his knee against Aberdeen and he got through the game ok but we brought him off with 15 or 20 minutes to go.”
“There was no need to risk it when we have other players. He was receiving treatment but he will be ok for the weekend.”
Scott Sinclair has been a thorn in the side of the Ibrox club since joining Celtic last summer in the Rodgers revolution and will be well rested and raring to go on Saturday.
Celtic go into the game heavy favourites but know they must turn up on the day to make sure of the result.
