BRENDAN RODGERS has given his biggest hint yet that nobody will be leaving the club in January if he gets his way.

The Irishman said he is keen to strengthen and while fringe players might head out on-loan he hopes to keep the majority of his squad and bring in at least one more new player.

“My idea for this month is to strengthen, so I haven’t thought of losing anyone,”

“If something came in that was difficult for the club and if the player wants to go then that’s another point. I’d never want a player at Celtic if he didn’t want to be there. Most importantly I would need the right replacement to come in.”

While this may be the plan, it’s true that Erik Sviatchenko could still leave the club in search of first team football and Liam Henderson who has only 6 months left on his contract has been training with Italian side Bari.

We’re half way through the transfer window and the club has signed Marvin Compper and Lewis Morgan so far.
