Brendan Rodgers made his first fresh Celtic TV appearance in a long time when the club played a pre-recorded clip of the Irishman congratulating Broony on all his success at Celtic while wishing him well for the future.

Celtic fans tuned into the Celtic Pass on Wednesday night to watch Scott Brown play his last game at Celtic Park for the Hoops before moving in in the summer.

There were many tributes paid to the player. Gordon Strachan and Charlie Mulgrew were on hand to talk about the Celtic captain at length.

The club cut away to messages for Broony which included the Mikael Lustig message already posted on social media. Then Brendan popped up.

Some fans have not forgiven the manager for leaving – even after two years. The manner in which the Irishman left has always been a sore spot for many Hoops fans.

What Brendan managed to achieve while at the club was incredible. There’s a lot of fans who have gotten over the way he left the club and only see the good.

For Scott Brown, he wouldn’t be the Celtic legend he is today without the intervention of Rodgers.
