Brendan Rodgers faced questions regarding Adam Idah’s future amid ongoing disciplinary issues at Norwich and continued interest from Celtic in securing his services permanently.

Idah, who is currently under disciplinary action for missing his flight to Austria for a pre-season friendly, remains a key target for Celtic after a successful loan spell where he scored nine goals in the second half of last season.
Rodgers carefully navigated questions about Idah’s potential return to Celtic Park in an interview with Sky Sports. Although Idah’s performance last season made him a desirable addition for Celtic, Rodgers maintained a diplomatic stance given the player’s current contractual obligations with Norwich.
“Well, Adam is a Norwich player. He obviously did fantastically well for us last season and we’ll just see what happens over the course of the coming weeks,” Rodgers said.
Celtic’s initial £4 million bid for Idah was rejected by Norwich, with the Carrow Road club holding out for a higher fee. Meanwhile, Idah’s preference for a move back to Celtic, as indicated by his actions and previous statements.
As the transfer window progresses, Celtic will likely continue to pursue Idah, hoping that negotiations will eventually align with Norwich’s valuation and terms.
