Brendan Rodgers has shared his thoughts on the progressing negotiations for Norwich City striker Adam Idah, as Celtic looks to secure the player permanently.
The discussions have evolved to focus on a transfer fee expected to exceed £6 million, with additional performance-related add-ons.
Idah had a lot of success with Celtic during a loan stint where he scored nine goals in 19 appearances, including a crucial Scottish Cup final winner. Idah’s impact was also felt in the Glasgow derbies, where he scored twice, earning the adoration of Celtic fans who are desperate for his return.
The Celtic manager expressed optimism about wrapping up the deal soon, with personal terms reportedly not being a hurdle, thanks to Idah’s strong desire to return to Celtic.
“I’m hoping by the end of the window that that can be done with some other but if we can get that sorted along with one or two other players,” Rodgers told Celtic TV.
As of now, there are no active reports in the media as to who could join the Irish striker as an incoming this summer. There are just over three weeks left until the window slams shut.
