Brendan Rodgers has just completed his first press conference since returning to England. His first few questions were tough but he managed to dodge them all without actually answering them, like a politician.

Asked about Wednesday’s banner at Tynecastle he admitted he had seen the banner but dismissed it as hurt from the Celtic fans.

We doubt that Rodgers expected the backlash that has come after he thought it was ok to jump ship with a handful of important games left. Games that could lead to historic achievements for Celtic. As time has worn on, more and more stories are emerging that make Rodgers out to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. His trophy haul is been pushed aside for some heavy criticism.

In his press conference today, he bragged about leaving the club in a good position. He said the club was in good hands with John Kennedy at Celtic Park. Stories are emerging that he tried to sneak Kennedy out the door with him. The past week has been full of drama and it doesn’t look like ending any time soon.

  1. He left for a better gig…he gave us some fantastic memories…shit happens…..give it a rest, okay his sense of timing was crap..but all these bitter recriminations are making us all look petty and vindictive in the eyes of the football world. If any one of us were offered a better job with mega bucks ,hand on heart would you knock it back,no matter how much you loved your current job …thought not..time to move on guys HH.

    • He could have stayed for 3 month and left on good terms, surely he’s not that desperate for money that he couldn’t have waited?

  2. Leicester obviously gave him an ultimatum…now or never ! He said the move was dictated by his head not his heart .Credit where it’s due,he’s left us in a far better position than we were in when he came here. All this anger and bitterness is just playing into the hands of the biased media and them that hate us anyway..they’re loving it…so we need to suck it up,regroup and get behind Lenny and the team .

  3. Hardly left us in a better place. He’s left us with a huge wage bill and a complete rebuilding job. But oh yes time to move on. He’s gone. Goodbye mon the hoops.
