According to reports north and south of the border, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was approached by West Ham over becoming their next manager last month when they parted ways with Slaven Bilic.

The London club were keen to intice Rodgers back down south after watching him lead Celtic to glory on a number of fronts.

However, it would appear that the approach never got serious as Rodgers immediately rebuffed West Ham when they came calling.

The club have since gone for David Moyes, many of the West Ham fans are furious with the clubs decision.

Brendan Rodgers has spoken plenty of times about not having a desire to jump back into the EPL circus anytime soon.

They keep trying to knock the Irishman for his accomplishments north of the border but it would appear he’s still in high demand.

Simply put – Why would he leave Celtic for West Ham?
