TOM ROGIC is back at Celtic after his country crashed out of the Asian Cup while he was out suspended. This means Tom is fresher than he would have been if he played in the Socceroos final game of a disappointing campaign.
While the Wizard of Oz is back in town Brendan Rodgers has told CelticTV the player will play NO part in Celtic’s home tie against St Johnstone on Wednesday night.
The Celtic manager wants to give Tom a breather but will assess the midfielder for the weekends game away to St Johnstone on Sunday.
Tom has been gone since the 4-3 win over Aberdeen on Boxing Day; Celtic’s too star missed the disappointing defeat at Ibrox because his country would not allow him to play.
All going well, the Australian will be back in the Hoops come Sunday to help spearhead the bhoys charge towards an eighth succesive title.
