The Hoops are in Germany as they aim to build on their perfect start to the new campaign.

The Bhoys have been formidable in all competitions to date, soaring past every opponent they’ve faced.

Rodgers’ men have scored 16 goals in their past three games, and supporters are in a positive mood going into this evening’s match.

The team are in fine fettle, and with the rub of the green, there is somewhat of a belief that Celtic are capable of taking something from Signal Iduna Park tonight.

Ahead of the game, boss Rodgers has made a vow to the fans.

“For us, tomorrow we play for the dreams of the supporters,” he said (Celtic FC on YouTube).

“The supporters are travelling out here in the thousands and we play for ourselves to go and enjoy this experience.

“It’s a wonderful arena, go and embrace it. Go and cherish these big games and let’s see where it takes us.”

Although Dortmund reached the final of the Champions League last term, they haven’t started this season particularly well.

Under the stewardship of new manager Nuri Sahin, the club is in a somewhat transitional period.

Despite this, they did win 3-0 over Club Brugge on Champions League matchday one and defeated Bochum 4-2 on Friday night. A recent 5-1 loss to Stuttgart, though, got Celtic supporters’ tongues wagging.

The German side has weaknesses that the Scottish Premiership champions can exploit, but they remain a side full of international, quality talent who can hurt the Bhoys.

The game will undoubtedly be Rodgers’ men’s most arduous test of the campaign to date.
