It seems almost inevitable but the rumours Brendan Rodgers will come back to Celtic to try and take some of our players is likely to happen this summer. Whether the Irishman is successful or not is a different thing but the manager will know better than most some of the talent Celtic have at their disposal.
The one man who stands out in the Celtic team is obviously Kieran Tierney. The defender has come a long way and developed very well under Rodgers.
There’s no doubt in the future the Celtic star would be a fantastic signing for any Premier League club side. However, if Rodgers is looking to bring Celtic’s star man in this summer then he might be overlooking what a REAL Celtic fan does when he’s offered the chance at history with his club or a move which bulks up the bank account but leaves dust on your trophy cabinet.
“Former boss Brendan Rodgers is a big fan of Kieran Tierney and Callum McGregor and could make moves to try to take them to Leicester City this summer.” RecordSport Writes.
“But both would take big-money offers before Celtic would even consider selling.”
There is an acceptance among Celtic fans that once the bid for ten in a row is over then their star defender might want to venture out and try a new challenge. Unless Kieran’s hand is forced it’s hopefully not going to happen for a few years yet.
