BRENDAN RODGERS is hopeful of at least getting one deal done but the Celtic manager has alluded to another signing if things go well.

Speaking to TalkSport on Deadline Day, the Celtic manager was staying tight-lipped but told the Alan Brazil show there were ‘key areas’ where he wanted to bring players in.

The Irishman also confirmed he has already fielded phone calls this morning for a few of his players as it pertains to the Parkhead exit door.

It seems like it’s going to be a busy day down at Celtic Park where there will likely be more players heading out than there are coming in.

On what he expects from deadline day, the Celtic manager confirmed interest in his players.

“There are going to be a few guys who will probably go out on loan, and there are key areas where we want to bring players in, but whether we can do that or not, we shall see.

“There is always communication with other managers, and I’ve already been on the phone this morning and someone who is looking at one or two of our players.

“That’s how it is throughout the day.”

Celtic are still very much in the hunt for a right-back, and Jeremy Toljan seems to be the focus of Rodgers’ interest.

The player trained with Dortmund this morning but could still be a Celtic player by the end of play today. Fingers crossed.
