In a day where Celtic found out their potential Champions League fate, we also found out a few other interesting tidbits as the English transfer window draws to a close on Aug 9.

Today Fulham were linked with a move for Dedryk Boyata for a whopping £9million. The Belgian is under contact for only one more year at Celtic Park and if he doesn’t sign a new deal shortly, the club will support surely look to sell him.

Elsehwere, former Celtic hero Fraser Forster has been told by Mark Hughes he is surplus to requirement at Southampton and the club will look to sell or loan the player out.

On the subject of old Celtic players – there isn’t a Champions League scenario where Stefan Scepovic could make his Celtic Park return if The Bhoys can beat Athens and the Serbian’s club Videoton can beat Malmo then he would be reunited with his old club.

Lets not hope there’s not a Joe Inge Berget thing going on with that scenario.

Paddy Power also paid out on Celtic winning the league after The Bhoys won their opening fixture and The Rangers and Aberdeen dropped two points against one another.
