Scott Brown left Celtic this summer after spending 14 years at the club to take up a player/coach role at Aberdeen. The former hoops Captain embarked on his new journey at the dons with a 5-1 victory against BK Hacken. Aberdeen pushed over the Swedish outfit in the new UEFA Europa Conference League. Stephen Glass’ side looks set to enter the third round of the competition.
Aberdeen fans took to social media to celebrate their win infront of fans. When it came to naming the new team captain, Brown was given a new nickname after an impressive performance;
Brooner ?

Dons in total control here. What a great 1st half that was attacking wise. JET is growing on me after i slated his signing. Been excellent tonight. Ramirez putting himself about and he'll do really well for us. Brooner strolling it.

Aye. 'Brooner' setting the standard.

During pre-season, it looked like the former Scotland International could be growing his hair back for the new campaign but last night he reverted to old ways and brought back the skinhead.
As a Celtic fan, it is hard to accept a new name for Scott Brown. For me, he is and always will be ‘Broony’, not ‘Brooner’.
Maybe they think Scott is the same colour as a ewe’s starfish. ‘Aye back legs in wellies’ and a pumpkin they go. Mmaaaaaaaa Fossie.
Brooner? As soon as Aberdeen get near a game that matters in Glasgow,their trousers always get brooner,utter bottle merchants….
I did brooner when I got home from work
