SCOTT BROWN has been around for a long time and in that time he’s had to put up with so many pretenders and faux hard men as he’s gone about his business as Celtic’s enforcers.

Since the new club has risen through the ranks of the Scottish division’s and found themselves in the Premier League we have been told time and time again that THIS guy is going to be the one to put Scott Brown in his place.

‘THIS GUY’ being anybody on the list below who have come through Scottish football’s doors to have a go at taking on the Celtic captain.

Joey Barton ☠
Andy Halliday ☠
Niko Kranjčar ☠
Carlos Pena ☠
Graham Dorrans ☠
Greg Docherty ☠
Ryan Jack ☠
Scott Arfield ☠

Every single one of the above has been hyped as the man to stop Celtic and Scott Brown from playing and every single one of them has been found wanting.

Our social media team pointed out that if we have another three pretenders to the thrown before Brown retires then the Ibrox club would have a whole Starting XI of Scott Brown victims.

The most famous is probably the Joey Barton case where he came into Scottish football, flapping his gums about what he was going to do and when he came face to face with the Celtic legend the Scouse crumbled.

Speaking of Scouses crumbling – The current Ibrox manager set his team out at Celtic Park to frustrate and to pacify Scott Brown’s involvement in the game. A Celtic win with Brown being one of the top performers on the day shows how wrong you can get it.

Our captain has been on another level when it comes to being the rock solid foundation of this Celtic side.

With the midfielder keen to try his hand at playing until at least ten in a row – there very well could be a full Starting XI of Ibrox ‘stars’ who have fallen to the mighty Broony.

Reading some of the comments on our Facebook page, it’s clear to see this fact has upset some Ibrox fans.

Oh Well.

  1. Legend – a better footballer than he is given credit for to boot. Should have replaced akeane when he left United , that’s just how highly I rate Broony. Over the moon he stayed at Celtic Park though. HH

  2. Couldn’t imagine a Hoops team without Broonie. One day We’re all going to face the tall dark truthful mirror. Still life in the auld fox yet.
