SCOTT BROWN was on top form during a Q&A for Celtic TV this weekend.

One fan asked a rather leading question but Broony was only too glad to answer it.

The question read – “How many times a day do you let Joey Barton out of your pocket for fresh air?”

Scott is not known for his diplomacy skills and quickly fired back with – “He’s STILL in my pocket”

This is an ongoing gag with Celtic fans who continue to have a laugh at Joey Barton’s expense.

The Scouse midfielder came up to Scotland and ran his mouth about Brown and how he was going to put Celtic ‘in their place’.

During the first Glasgow Derby of the season Barton was beat before the whistle was kicked when he couldn’t look Brown in the eye.

The player couldn’t even win a 50/50 with the Celtic captain.

That day Celtic smashed the Ibrox club 5-1 with Joey’s biggest involvement coming when he picked the ball out the net.

He still insists he was too good for Scottish Football. Top banter.

  1. I have so many great memories of Celtic successes. 1988 double. Henrik and Harald v St Johnstone. Demolition Derby. Beating Barca. Loads of images spring to mind. BUT the whole Barton thing, from loudmouthed start to laugh-out-loud embarrassing finish, leaves me in stitches every time I think back to it. Brings a smile across my wee face reliving the game where he was utterly and comprehensively rammed back in his wee daft box by our Broony, a proper footballer, a captain with real desire, playing for a great team. I’ve watched those highlights so many times and it never gets dull. Seriously the drop ball where Scott batters him out the road is one of my favourite moments ever.
Thanks for the memories Joey, and GIRFUY, you trash talking wee loser.
