CHRIS SUTTON has targeted anyone who thought Scott Brown’s career was quietly winding down – it seems to have got him worked up.
The Celtic captain has been the source of much debate over the past six months on how much longer he can go at the top level. During this time, Brown was offered the chance of a bumper contract in Australia for a newly formed A-League side but turned it down to stay with the Scottish Champions.
After the last game at Ibrox, many were wanting to put Broony down but in reality, that game was a write off for most of our players; injuries, shape change and players playing out of position all contributed to the loss.
Since then, Brown and Celtic have gone on a formidable domestic run which has seen them extend their lead at the top to eight points since the start of 2019.
Brown put in another top and energy zapping performance in against Valencia, prompting Chris Sutton to tweet out about anyone who said the Celtic Captain was finished.
I wonder if any buffoons will be eating humble pie about Scott Brown tonight…

Brown looks more than likely to captain his side to eight-in-a-row and could still be a player who helps win a treble treble for the club.
