CELTIC have seemingly thrown the kitchen sink at trying to keep Celtic starlet Liam Morrison at the club after sustained interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Celtic have been developing the player over a number of years and know the lad shows fantastic potential. He’s shown so much promise it has prompted Bayern to make a play for the Celtic youngster.

According to Football Insider, Celtic are looking to fend off Bayern’s advances so they can continue Liam’s development.

There are no guarantees in any youth system, whether it be Celtic or Bayern’s but if you’re good enough for the Celtic team you will make it. Callum McGregor, Kieran Tierney and James Forrest will testify to that.

At the age of 16, the player and his family look like they have a big decision to make. Hopefully Liam will see the value in staying at the club and breakthrough into the first team in the next few years.

  1. As a regular youth and development team watcher I’m actually glad the young lad is leaving in the 11 games I saw last season his only tactic was to hoof it aimelesly up the park, his 1st touch is poor and as seen in Glasgow cup final his positional sense is awful. I wish him well but won’t b sad to see him going.

  2. Would also be a step in right direction if we released Calvin Miller, Tony ralston, Robbie deas and Mark Hill as they have neither the skill, technique or ability to progress at Celtic.
