Celtic captain Callum McGregor has highlighted the strength and depth of the squad following their emphatic 5-0 win over Ross County at Parkhead.
The resounding victory, which saw six changes to the starting XI, showcased Brendan Rodgers’ ability to rotate the team without compromising performance levels.
Rodgers’ decision to shuffle the pack after the midweek Champions League draw with Club Brugge proved inspired.
Luke McCowan, Paulo Bernardo, Alex Valle, Liam Scales, James Forrest, and Adam Idah all stepped up, contributing significantly to the win.
McGregor, who scored a spectacular goal himself, praised the team’s ability to maintain their intensity: [Celtic TV]
“We made a few changes today and the level is still super-high, brilliant energy, brilliant quality, summed up by the wee man [Luke McCowan], he gets his goal and a few assists, as well.
“But that’s what we want, everybody to come in and work as hard as they can for the team and produce those moments.
“We’re all in it together.”
Celtic’s dominant win temporarily extended their lead at the top of the Premiership table to five points, setting the stage for a clash against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Wednesday night.
McGregor underlined the importance of building on this momentum as the Hoops aim to further distance themselves from the chasing pack.
With a busy December schedule ahead, with the league, Champions League and League cup final, McGregor will look to lead the team no matter the changes on the pitch.
The captain did get a little rest on Saturday, with Brendan Rodgers taking the skipper off for Arne Engels in the second half.
