Celtic captain Callum McGregor put in some shift on international duty as he added yet another three international caps.
He remains one of the most consistent performers in the Scotland team with his international boss Steve Clarke joking afterwards that people now just expect McGregor to perform in three games in such a short space of time.
His performances in the crunch games against Ukraine and The Republic of Ireland were crucial in Scotland securing top spot in their Nations League group.
So far this season, McGregor is the only man to have started every game under Ange Postecoglou but with 13 games in 43 days, will the Celtic captain be given a rest at any point?
The likely answer is no as he is always hungry for the next game with Ange Postecoglou previously stating that players will get a ‘rest’ whenever their career is over.
McGregor played a total of 52 games across the board for club and country last season and has already featured 13 times so far during this campaign.
He continues to be a reliable and consistent player that has had such a big influence at the club since Postecoglou’s arrival.
As Celtic embark on a huge volume of games in the next period before the World Cup having a fit Callum McGregor in the team will be a blessing.
The Scottish national team is an irrelevance to the vast majority of Celtic supporters.
