Celtic captain Callum McGregor once again played a crucial part in a massive win for Scotland from the middle of the park as they defeated Israel 3-2 at Hampden on Saturday evening.

The midfielder has created a brilliant partnership alongside Billy Gilmour and John McGinn. The trio played their part on the way to another big three points in the nations hunt for World Cup qualification.

After the game, McGregor reflected on Scotland’s performance and summed up the game perfectly after another stellar display from the 28-year old.

Many fans probably weren’t too keen on McGregor featuring for Steve Clarke’s side during this international break with him just returning from a spell on the sidelines recently.

However, he reminded us again why he is an absolute joy to watch at times with his performance on the night.

Celtic fans know exactly what he is capable of and see it on a weekly basis. It is brilliant to see him carrying over his form from the start of the season, and we will be hoping to see that when Ange Postecoglou’s side return to action in a week too.
