Celtic captain Callum McGregor has addresses the current rumours linking both Giorgos Giakoumkais and Josip Juranovic with moves away from the club.

During his time at the club, he has seen a number of players come and go at Parkhead but insists his door is always open if anyone wants to speak to him.

His main focus though is leading his side to another cup final which he will be hoping to do this weekend as the league leaders take on Kilmarnock for the second time in a week in the Viaplay Cup semi final at Hampden.

Although he is willing to speak to both players, he will not get sucked in by speculation or discuss deals as he believes that it is both players prerogative to decide what they do even though he has seen all the rumours and links away.

“My job is to listen to the players if they come to me and they’ve got a problem, I’ll try and fix it and that’s in any capacity of the game. In terms of football, anything at the club, in their personal life,” said McGregor as quoted by Football Scotland.

“I’m there to help them and I let them know that.

“But I won’t go and actively seek conversations because the players have their own career, they work for the club and play for the club, so ultimately they’ll make their decision.

“Everyone knows I’m there to help if they need it.”

Both Giakoumakis and Juranovic remain Celtic players and they should still be giving the club their all before departing.

It looks all but likely that both players will leave during this January window although the Hoops still remain in control of this situation as they both signed long-term deals meaning that from the clubs perspective there is no rush.

Celtic have already signed Canadian international Alistair Johnston who appears to be Juranovic’s replacement that is settling in well and Postecoglou is still on the hunt for Cho Gue-sung to boost his attacking options.
