TODAY Nicola Sturgeon announced that restrictions that capped attendances at the football to 500 fans will come to an end, meaning Celtic can prepare for a sell-out crowd on Monday 17th of January.

This is great news for all involved in football, after all, football without fans is nothing.

Celtic captain, Callum McGregor has spoken to the fans, via the Celtic Website, after the announcement expressing his delight.

“It’s great to get the supporters in, to get full houses and get them backing the team singing and enjoying the football.

“We’re all together, we’re all as one and when the place is rocking, we’re rocking. so we’re delighted they’ll get back in supporting the team and we’ll give everything for them as well”.

The fans are Celtic’s twelfth man and the team are going to need us in the second half of the season. With just 6 points separating Celtic and the Ibrox side, every point is going to be valuable this season.

Paradise is going to be bouncing for the next few games starting off with Hibs on Monday night Celtic will then travel to Alloa and Hearts before hosting The Glasgow Derby on Wednesday 2nd of February.
