CELTIC have travelled to Madrid without their star centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers as reported by Stephen McGowan.
The Amercian defender has not long returned from injury and has now been hit by a fresh setback.
While there’s nothing to play for on Wednesday evening, the Celtic fans are out in Madrid in their numbers hoping the team can make it a memorable night. That becomes that little bit harder without CCV in the side.
Ange will have to decide if Carl Starfelt can put in a shift in Spain, however, the more likely course of action is Stephen Welsh will start the game alongside Moritz Jenz.
There is a third option where Abildgaard plays at centre-back.

After the trip to Madrid, Celtic have Dundee Utd at home followed by Motherwell at Fir park and finishing up back at Celtic Park against Ross County before the domestic season goes into hibernation.
