Celtic look to have avoided a fresh injury scare after Cameron Carter-Vickers was spotted back in full training ahead of this weekend’s Premiership meeting with Hibernian.
With the American only recently returning from a minor knee operation, there were understandable concerns he may have suffered a setback. But the latest training gallery released by the club paints a far more reassuring picture.

Carter-Vickers, who missed the start of pre-season following surgery, has been slowly working his way back to full sharpness. He completed the full 90 minutes in Serbia, though looked to be struggling in the closing stages. Brendan Rodgers opted not to take any chances at the time, but doubts lingered in the aftermath over the defender’s fitness.
Those fears now look to have been eased, with the 27-year-old taking part in full drills and looking comfortable alongside the rest of the first-team squad, including fellow summer arrival Kelechi Iheanacho.

Rodgers has made no secret of how important Carter-Vickers is to his side’s defensive shape. The vice-captain brings calmness and authority to the back line, and with a tough run of games coming up, his presence will be vital. Hibs visit Celtic Park on Saturday before a midweek trip to Portugal to face Braga in the Europa League.
The manager is due to address the media on Friday and will likely provide a final update then, but for now, Carter-Vickers’ return to training will come as a big relief for supporters and staff alike. After a frustrating run with injuries last season, both club and player will be hoping this is the start of a more consistent spell.
