With the news that Kyogo is in training ahead of Celtic’s game against Real Madrid it looks as though Carl Starfelt might miss the match.

The Swede had to leave the field before the hour mark with Moritz Jenz coming on to replace him.

Starfelt returned to action for Celtic in the 5-0 thumping of Kilmarnock at Rugby Park and has also featured against Dundee United and Ross County.

The manager turned towards the pairing which had played an imperative part in Celtic’s success last season but unfortunately the partnership didn’t see out the game.

If Jenz comes into the starting eleven tomorrow evening he will be a more than able deputy for Starfelt having featured regular so far since his debut almost one month ago.

The German defender has already had a taste of playing one of Europe’s elite clubs in PSG during his time at Lorient and will not be fazed by the challenge that awaits.

The point of Celtic having a strong competitive squad is for times like these. Anyone is able to be brought in with the manager knowing that he can trust any of his players.

Postecoglou will select the team he best believes to beat Real Madrid tomorrow evening and he has the full confidence of the Celtic support to do it.
