It is being reported that Celtic defender Carl Starfelt is being considered by English Premier League clubs [@FabrizioRomano].
The Swedish international is being tracked by clubs and could potentially be an option for some during the summer transfer window.
Although Celtic do want to keep Starfelt as he is considered an important player at the club.
He is currently contracted to the Scottish champions until the summer of 2025 meaning that a new contract offer could be made the Swede in the coming months.
Starfelt missed a lot of football during the first half of the season due to injury but since his return from the sidelines has once again played an important part in Postecoglou’s team having played the past 12 league matches at the back.
He established a sturdy relationship alongside USA international Cameron Carter-Vickers last season and amazingly both have never lost a league game they have started playing alongside each other.
The former Rubin Kazan defender arrived in Glasgow during the summer of 2021 and was almost instantly in the door after the departure of Kristoffer Ajer.
Some speculated as to whether the arrival of Yuki Kobayashi to the club would possibly indicate that the 27-year-old could be for the off but Celtic value Starfelt as a very important player.
Once again, this is purely speculation which is due to the fact that the Hoops have been playing so well in recent times.
I’ll drive him down myself.
