CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS arrived at Celtic in the summer late on deadline day. Arriving on an initial loan, the Hoops installed an option to buy to the American’s contract.

The fee is disputed between £6 and £10 million, with Celtic said to be negotiating a payment plan with Spurs, Vickers’ parent club.

The defender has been great since he arrived at Celtic. However, fans have grown worried about whether the defender will extend his stay in Scotland.

Supporters’ opinions are clear; they would like to see Carter-Vickers and Jota signed up in the summer. However, both potentially have other options, and Celtic is preparing to battle it out for the pair’s signatures.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has stated that if Celtic wins the league and guarantees Champions League football next season, Cameron’s decision could be majorly influenced.

“A lot will depend on Champions League Football.” he told GIVEMESPORT.

“If Celtic win the league and offer Champions League football, it will be a huge boost for their chances of signing Carter-Vickers.

“Not many other clubs will offer the defender the opportunity to play in front of 60,000 fans every week in Europe, never mind in the top-tier of European football.”

At the end of the day, money talks. If a club can offer Carter-Vickers more money than Celtic, he will most likely go the other way.

  1. Absolutely no question about money talking , 20000 pounds a week at Celtic or 60000 a week at an average Premiership club . It’s a no brainier unfortunately.
