CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS has missed out on the last few American squads, with his previous call up coming in 2019, when he played for his national side in a friendly.

After his performances at Celtic, it’s hard to justify the Spurs loanee missing out on another squad. The American national team ought to have a closer look at the player before the World Cup in November.

The USA assistant manager will make the trip to Glasgow for Sunday’s Glasgow Derby when Cameron’s side can wrap up the league.

The pressure will be on the defender. He’ll be keen to impress those watching on to earn a call up to his national side in such an important year for his country.

Carter-Vickers is yet to seal a permanent future. Celtic are said to be in advanced negotiations over a deal and are expected to trigger the loan bhoy’s contract clause.

It’d certainly help the player get back onto the international scene if he had a permanent club rather than going on a loan every season. Hopefully, Celtic can be that home.
