CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS has attracted the attention of many top-flight English clubs. Despite this, Celtic are fighting to keep the player in Glasgow.

Wolves, Leicester and a host of EPL are interested in adding the American to their squads in the summer after his loan contract expires. Of course, Celtic can buy the player; however, with the decision that lies with the defender, he may choose to hold out for a top Premier League deal. [SBI Soccer]

Leicester have already registered their interest in Josip Juranovic, with Brendan Rodgers watching Celtic play Dundee United.

The defender has been great for Celtic this season. Tying him down to a contract would be amazing. The American would certainly help maintain the high standards at the back.

If Celtic win the league this season, they can offer the player Champions League football after the summer. Something Wolves can’t do, with it looking likely they will play Europa League football next season. Leicester look set to miss playing in Europe altogether, occupying the twelfth position in the league.

Hopefully, Celtic winning the league will persuade Carter-Vickers to stay, but Ange says he will never beg anyone to stay with Celtic.

Ultimately, Celtic fans shouldn’t get hung up on the deal becoming permanent. He’s here now and contributing to a season that could surpass expectations. If it’s a one and done loan deal, so be it!

  1. It’s patently clear to me that the player won’t stick around at Celtic as much as he’s been terrific for us , it’s not about European football for some , it ultimately be about earnings and possibly being closer to home again . Hope I’m wrong but I suspect he’l head back down south .
