Celtic centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers has lifted the lid on the leadership group within the current Hoops squad.
Much of an example-setter himself, the American colossus was the club’s vice-skipper last term.

That will likely continue into the new campaign, with Carter-Vickers regularly picking up the armband when Callum McGregor is absent.
The midfielder is the perfect role model for his teammates, but alongside him and Carter-Vickers, there are several other leaders in the Parkhead ranks.
Kasper Schmeichel recently arrived as an experienced professional who will maintain elite standards within the dressing room.
He takes the reigns both on the pitch and off it from the retired Joe Hart.
The new ‘keeper, McGregor, and Carter-Vickers are the core leaders in the group, but there are many others to whom players can also look up.
“I think there’s a few (leaders)”, said Carter-Vickers (RecordSport).
“The ones you name, Greg’s also fairly vocal. Ali Johnston, I’d class as a bit of a leader as well.
“The team is so close that anyone can really have an opinion and if it’s a good one everyone will listen and accept it.
“I don’t know if it’s a case of real big leaders. It’s just a case of a collaborative effort to go in the right direction and pull in the right direction.”
Several players in every Celtic squad drive an elite winning mentality given the success the club has endured throughout its history.
Second best is not good enough, and that will be the message as the Bhoys prepare to defend yet another Scottish Premiership title.
