CELTIC played out a very drab 0-0 draw in a run of the mill friendly with Rennes on Saturday afternoon at Celtic Park with around 20k in attendance.

Neil Lennon handed debuts to both Christopher Jullien and Luca Connell. Both had their moments but you can tell they’re very rusty.

Scott Sinclair scored on Wednesday night in Bosnia but he must have had someone else for first scorer today because his second half sitter probably cost Celtic a mediocre win on the day.

It was great to see Leigh Griffiths back at Celtic Park and the striker was trying his best to make his mark in the game but the best is still to come from the weeman.

All in all, a pretty forgettable day at Celtic Park, families aplenty soaking up the sun and trying to keep their children amused while they watched both teams go through the motions.

Three standout things we noticed:

  1. Ewan Henderson is very, very good.
  2. Christopher Jullien looks rusty and should probably start on the bench on Wednesday.
  3. The Coke Zero is still honking in the Jock Stein Stand.
