This one has come from left field to say the least but struggling Celt Lewis Morgan is reportedly on his way back to the UK to discuss a move to David Beckham’s new MLS side Inter Miami.

According to RecordSport who write:

‘Scotland star Lewis Morgan is flying back from Dubai for talks over a move to David Beckham’s Inter Miami.

‘Celtic have accepted a significant six figure sum for the winger from the Major League Soccernew boys.

‘Morgan is now heading back to Scotland for talks with the US outfit, his agent and his family.’

Lewis has been struggling to make his mark on this Celtic team with many supporters believing the player isn’t the answer down the wing.

He enjoyed a good spell at Sunderland in the second half of last season but ultimately he and the Black Cats fell short of promotion.

There was no real push for Lewis to leave the club this window but if a bid has come in and Celtic believe it’s a good deal for a fringe player then why not take it.

It’s a big life decision to leave the country and head to the US to continue your career. Playing football out of Miami has to hold some appeal for any footballer.
