MOTHERWELL and Celtic fans are set to contribute to the latest Food bank initiative set up prior to the game between the two clubs this weekend.

Celtic make the sort trip to Fir Park for the Saturday 3pm kick off, but before the game, both sets of fans will have the opportunity to donate to local food banks.

Motherwell are a fantastically run club with an emphasis on the local community. Celtic charitable reach during the pandemic saw the foundation raise over £1.5m to this point for a number of incredible causes.

Celtic and the supporters also contribute to food bank drives outside Celtic Park, especially in the winter months and in the run up to Christmas.

Saturday will be a great chance for Celtic fans to contribute to this ‘Well initiative and we hope the fans respond like they always do.

Food Banks are a sad indictment of our society and poor governance that’s pushed so many families below the poverty line.

These aren’t just families with unemployed parents, working families are feeling the bite and have had to reach out for help in their local communities.
