No sooner had we told you Celtic were bracing themselves for a Glasgow Derby Cup final ticket backlash the club announced the criteria for supporters.

As we suspected, there’s not enough tickets to go around all the HCTS members who meet the following criteria.

‘Ballot amongst those STH who are on the HCTS and payment was taken by Direct Debit for home Cup matches v. Dunfermline on 17th August 2019 and Partick Thistle on 25th September 2019 and who purchased a ticket, under own client ref, for the Bet Fred Semi Final v. Hibs on 2nd November.’

Celtic were always going to have to face angry supporters who have been to all games and met the above criteria but still don’t get a ticket.

Because the allocation will be split right down the middle there’s simply not enough tickets to meet demand for the game.

If you’re lucky enough to be balloted for a ticket then grab it with both hands.

Celtic will take on their Glasgow rivals in the League Cup final and could make it ten in a row when it comes to domestic trophies.

Standing in their way is Steven Gerrard’s men who have been going strong domestically this term.

It’s sure to be a cracker on the day wherever you get to watch it.
