Celtic have issued a communication this evening which states they aren’t in favour of any protests going ahead at Celtic Park on Sunday but are aware of it.

The club have told supporters to make sure they put their health first and make sure they stick to stick protocols if they’re attending the gathering set up by the Celtic Trust.

The supporter’s group who have gained a huge amount of momentum over the past week have set the protest for 1pm on Sunday – two hours before the kick-off against Kilmarnock in the SPFL.

The trust have asked if Celtic fans do attend, they follow strict government guidelines and show their support by their presence without becoming a health risk to themselves or others during the pandemic.

Celtic also made the announcement they would be meeting with the Celtic trust next week and will have dialogue with them about what’s going on at the club.

It will be interesting to see what comes out of that meeting.

Since last week, the Celtic trust have bough more Celtic shares on three separate occasions because fans have been backing them with new subscriptions.
