It has today been announced that Celtic have entered a new partnership with international organisation MatchWornShirt [Celtic FC Official Website].

This will give supporters the opportunity to purchase jerseys worn from players during games allowing fans to own a piece of history.

There are many collectors of Celtic match-worn shirts who have been collecting jerseys for years meaning that this is by no means a new initiative, just possibly easier access for some.

The site currently hosts clubs such as Napoli, Marseille and Club Brugge and is a continual growing brand with many Scottish clubs also having already signed up.

There will be a selection of tops from domestic and European fixtures on sale after matches that will also be signed.

Fans will have to bid on these jerseys which has been a very successful initiative used by the Celtic Foundation in recent years with their charity logo being featured on the green and white hoops.

As well as this, the company will also now sponsor the Celtic FC Women’s team as the brand continues to grow. It will be featured on the jersey for the first time this Sunday afternoon as they take on Glasgow Women at Excelsior Stadium.
