CELTIC have this afternoon dropped the news one of their players has tested positive for COVID-19 in their latest round of testing.
The whole squad was tested upon their return to the UK from Dubai and the news came through in the last hour there has been a positive case. What’s bizarre is the communication didn’t name the player who has tested positive.
Vitally, the rest of the squad have come back with negative tests ahead of the Hibernian game.
Celtic today confirmed that one player has recorded a positive test for covid-19. Clearly the player will receive all our care and full support.
All other members of our squad, management team and backroom squad are negative.

This latest positive case will give Celtic’s snipers more ammunition to have a go at the club for their Dubai trip. We will no doubt find out the name of the player isolating in the next hour or so, but it’s regrettable we have another positive test.
This is the first positive test a player has got on our watch, the others have come from international duty when players have travelled to meet their national team.
Disaster upon Disaster-and why was John Kennedy left to face the music yesterday?
Given that all the questions that journos were imterested in , was the wisdom of the Dubai trip, that should have been Lawwell answering the questions as CEO
Shows that you can be positive about being negarive..
