The first leg will take place on Wednesday, August 20, with an 8pm kick-off, against either FC Kairat or Slovan Bratislava. Kairat hold a 1-0 advantage from the first leg of their third qualifying round tie, meaning Celtic could face a gruelling 7,000-mile round trip to Kazakhstan in the return fixture just days before the Glasgow derby, if Bratislava don’t manage a comeback.

Season ticket holders have until 9 am on Wednesday, August 13 to secure their usual seats for the home match. Sales are currently online-only, with prices set at £29 for adults, £22 for concessions and £17 for under-13s.

Brendan Rodgers’ squad is still awaiting reinforcements before the crucial tie, but the Celtic boss has already made clear that his focus will be on maximising the output from the players currently at his disposal. “Whether we’re prepared or unprepared is irrelevant,” Rodgers said on Friday. “I’ll work with the players here and make them as ready as possible.”

The manager admitted that no signings are imminent and that he is unsure whether or not he’ll have new faces in the door for these qualifiers.

Celtic are asking fans to pay the £29 after season ticket prices increased and fans had no free friendly included in their ticket.

  1. Season ticket holders will snatch up every ticket + 1. There’s no buy back ticket scheme locking working class Celtic supporters of all ages out of every big game.

It’s incredibly frustrating. I’m pissed off with the club more so than any other time in the last 20 years.

  2. A typical business run to make profit for the shareholders and not giving a toss to the real fans.
It’s time to vote with feet and then they’ll realise fans are not going to be shit on like many years ago.
This was the opportunity to put sevco into the ground but they are getting stronger whilst we should be booting them in the balls by making the squad uncatchable.
Time will tell but it’s not looking good for BR to stay on then who do we get when the board wont release money for new signings
