There’s some anxiety on social media after Crystal Palace confirmed this morning Roy Hodgson would be leaving the club this summer.
Celtic fans have been waiting nearly two months for an Eddie Howe appointment, so it stands to reason they would be nervous by other managerial roles popping up down south.
As we understand things, Eddie Howe will be the next Celtic manager, but until it’s confirmed, anxiety among the support is going to be there.
When we’ve reached out to sources close to the club, we’ve never got a denial Eddie Howe was the man but we were given no indication why it was taking so long.
Having watched Bournemouth in the Championship playoffs on Monday evening, the only logical theory we can come up with is Eddie is still contracted to Bournemouth until their final game of the season or the end of May.
If that’s the case, it would mean Celtic were not prepared to cut an my sort of deal that would’ve cost them extra to get their man a little earlier.
Again, this is just a theory.
Boring, but one thing is for sure. Howe better hit the ground running. No bullsh1t, he’s gotta be the man he thinks he is, cause if he is a lightweight, he can sod off now! We want a winner, not an excuse merchant.
