Duncan Castles of the Transfer Window podcast has made the claim Arsenal are very interest in Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard. The podcast which is known for it’s in the know information, mostly surrounding English clubs, claim the Gunners want to spend €25m to sign the Frenchman from Celtic.

“We understand Odsonne Edouard is of great interest to the Gunners. They are willing to pay around €25m for the Celtic striker.” Castles said on the Transfer window pod.

Duncan Castles goes on to say it’s interesting Odsonne has not featured in the past two games for Celtic, perhaps inferring this has something to do with the striker’s transfer status. Eddy has been injured and sat out these games as a result.

Furthermore, Arsenal will NOT be landing the striker for the price quoted above – if they did, it would be a lower amount than they got for Kieran Tierney.

“It’s our understanding Celtic are very much willing to sell and looking for a buyer” Castles claimed.

“Celtic paid a lot of money to secure him from PSG, you have to say they’ve made a good decision there

“He’s scored consistently for Celtic, and it looks like Celtic are going to try and cash in on him”

Edouard has been the focal point of Celtic’s attack for over two years. With no Champions League football, it does create a gap in revenue which is expected to be filled somewhere. The past two seasons we haven’t made the competition we’ve sold Dembele and Tierney for big money. It would be naive of us as supporters to categorically say Eddy is not for sale.

What we would say is, it’s going to have to be a big offer for the club to part ways with the Frenchman.

  1. Is Mr Edd worth 75m no. Is he worth 50m no. Is he worth 40m ehh no.
Its 35m or fuc& off. 30m plus players and a 15% sell on maybe. Get your cash and do him and his supporters proud. And spend at least 15m of that on new players, bigger toilets, fuc& sake, I have seen bigger toilets at motorway service stations. And not a new corparate suite.
