CELTIC have avoided an inconvenient and potentially harmful delay to their match against Dundee Utd on Sunday with the news the game will go ahead.

There was serious concerns over the tie taking place due to Storm Arwen damaging Tannadice, Football Scotland reported.

However, things look on course and the game between the two sides will go ahead at the weekend.

Why would this have been a major issue for Celtic?

We witnesses what happens last season when games get postponed and you’re put in a position where you need to find the time to play the ties and chase from further behind.

Any postponements at this point would allow our rivals some major breathing space at the top of the table and could prove fatal to Celtic’ title hopes.

We know we have the makings of a team here, but things could quickly get away from us in December if we don’t keep a winning run going.
