Celtic and the rest of the clubs still in the Scottish Cup are now awaiting the SFA’s verdict on when this season’s cup fixtures can be played.

The news this afternoon coming out of Holyrood is great news for the lower leagues who have been suspended since early January.

The game will open back up and it will give the SFA and clubs the opportunity to play out the Scottish cup to a natural conclusion.

The only thing Celtic and the rest of the clubs don’t know is how will the delayed fixtures be handled and can the SFA find the time to squeeze in the fixtures before this summer?

If not, then it would roll to next season, we all watched Celtic in December finish off their quadruple treble in December — 6 months after the final was due to be played.

We expect some prompt decisions from the governing body now. John Kennedy could see this as an opportunity to make his mark as a senior level coach.
