Celtic’s B side made it three league wins on the bounce on Saturday afternoon. The victory saw them shoot up to ninth in the Lowland League table.
Away at Broomhill, the youngsters were 2-1 winners. Centre-back Lenny Agbaire opened the scoring seven minutes in as he finished high into the net.
It was a first B team goal for the imposing 18-year-old who gradually stepped up from the under-18s last season. Broomhill did equalise although in the second-half, Daniel Cummings got what turned out to be the winner.
The 2007-born striker finished clinically at the back post to net his third goal in two league games – a respectable return for someone who is just 17 years of age.
They did have an arduous start to the campaign however the B team have come on to some form of late. Three wins in their last three league games makes for impressive reading.
Going forward, Darren O’Dea will be keen for his side to develop continually. The international break is upon us but after that, the B team will head down South where they are due to play Brighton U21s in the Premier League International Cup.
