Celtic B team player Bruno Davidson has announced his retirement from football at just 20 years old, opting to step away from the game to launch his own fashion brand, ‘Bruno Narducci’.
Davidson, who played 67 games for Celtic’s B team across the Lowland League, UEFA Youth League and the Challenge Cup, and represented Scotland at U16 level, took to Instagram on Friday night to reveal his decision.
Davidson was highly rated in the B team, often standing out in the Lowland League, but a pathway to the first team never materialised. He had signed a contract that was set to expire this year.
Despite his talent, he never secured a loan move away to gain experience elsewhere, and now he has decided to take a different path—following in the footsteps of his Italian grandfather by pursuing a career in fashion.
He says that he has been thinking of the decision for a few years now and has now decided to take the leap.
His brand is set to launch on Derby Day – March 16th. Going by the announcement post, it looks like it will be in the style of ‘old money’, which has become trendy in recent years.
It’s an unusual career switch, but Davidson clearly has a well-thought-out plan for his future beyond football. Best of luck to him.
