On a chilly afternoon in Kilmarnock, Celtic secured a crucial 2-0 win that saw them return to the top of the Scottish Premiership, above Aberdeen, who went top last night.

Despite a strong start from the hosts, who were sharp in the first half, Celtic weathered the storm and emerged victorious, thanks in no small part to Super Nicolas Kuhn’s clinical strike.

The first half was intense, back-and-forth between the teams.

Kilmarnock had their chances, with Marley Watkins hitting the post and Kyle Vassell being denied by a superb block from Auston Trusty.

But it was Celtic who struck the decisive blow just before the break.

In first-half stoppage time, Callum McGregor delivered a delicious ball into the box, which Adam Idah looked to have nicked, though the goal was later credited to McGregor himself.

The second half saw Celtic press for a second, and it came courtesy of the ever-impressive Nicolas Kuhn.

A long ball sent the winger away from Kilmarnock’s defence, and after a quick turn inside, Kuhn curled a beauty past Robby McCrorie to double Celtic’s lead.

The Bhoys weren’t without their scares, Kasper Schmeichel was kept busy, making a number of vital saves, including a stunning reflex stop to deny Matty Kennedy.

With the win secured, the focus shifts back to maintaining consistency.

Celtic’s title charge looks unstoppable, but they’ll need to keep firing on all cylinders.

Kuhn’s form continues to be a highlight of the Hoops’ campaign, he’s now Celtic’s top scorer for the season with 10 goals.
