Hundreds of Celtic fans stood on the Celtic Way today, protesting the Celtic board before the game against Kilmarnock. There were plenty of banners hanging up around the stadium by the protestors and members of the Celtic Trust addressed the crowd.

The sentiment behind the protest was ‘back the team, sack the board’. There were wanted signs for Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond but it was one banner which caught everyone’s eye and as soon as it hit social media it took off.

The image of Peter Lawwell with a Donald Trump style haircut with the words ‘Let’s build a fence’ was on view for all to see and I think a lot of fans got a kick out of it.

Even people who weren’t particularly happy with the protest going ahead found it amusing.

It pertains to the Celtic board putting a fence between the fans and the stadium after the Ross County protests a few weeks back.

Today’s protest was organised and they even stopped to cheer the bhoys into the building when the team bus arrived.

Celtic won 2-0 against Kilmarnock to ease the pressure on Neil Lennon.

  1. Celtic being pish, has got to end. ‘One swallow does not a summer of discontent make’.
We have had to swallow a lot of pish football this year. No more diddling with the squad, let’s get something clear, find a way to win. And….. Don’t go changing it.
