Celtic have been linked with a move for Wolves flop Daniel Pordence.

The player was bought by the club in January for £17m but has yet to settle in at his new club. There are rumours Wolves want to get rid of the player already but given their large outlay and Daniel’s form – there’s no chance Wolves would recoup the money they spent on the winger this summer.

The best thing to do would be to loan him out and add value back to the player if he shines elsewhere.

The Mirror is reporting Celtic are one of a number of clubs interested in the winger but we have been told by a source at Celtic this morning that his name hasn’t come up.

From our experience, when Celtic get linked with this sort of player, one of two things is happening; his agent is trying to work a move and linking him with Celtic gets a player’s name out there, or he has been offered to the club by an agent but nothing has gone further than that.

What’s more, Celtic have already confirmed the loan signing of Moi Elyounoussi who plays in the same position. Moi and Mikey Johnston have the left side of the pitch locked down and Celtic have much more pressing issues. So if you see this rumour floating about, take it with a pinch of salt.
