CELTIC have crashed out at the first hurdle of the Champions League qualifiers.
Quite simply, the board, Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond caused this result tonight which almost felt inevitable since the start of this season.
Ange Postecoglou came in around a month ago and has tried to make the best of things in the short term. He hasn’t been helped with slow recruitment and we went into a qualifier with a back line who could have turned out for the colts on another night.
Celtic should have been preparing for these qualifiers since January last year. They could even have started last October if Dermot Desmond did the right thing and gave Neil Lennon his marching orders.
It’s incredible, because had we finished our own chances with the team we had tonight, we still might have just slipped through – so imagine if we had a competent board and majority shareholder who made sure last season didn’t bleed into this one.
Dermot Desmond refused to dismiss Neil Lennon, he was led down the garden path from Eddie Howe and these two things have had a major impact on where we sit tonight – out of the Champions League.
Celtic will now drop into the Europa League qualifiers and hope they can make it through.
Absolutely criminal what the club has been reduced to.

We say the negatives every year and sing the same old story but when there is no ambition or future planning and backing of investment it won’t change so now the excuse for not bringing in the quality we need will be because of the now lack of earnings dropping out of the champions LEAGUE.Rangers are a much better team than us and we will be lucky to finish 2cnd or 3rd this year and I mean that.

I hope the fans remember all this when it comes to filling in their ballot papers and remove the present board from their positions. They are quite happy to take their dividends and Celtic,s success or failure is just a bye product that they have no real interest in. How many companies would make the same mistakes year after year. When was the last time we had a team that looked prepared to compete on the European stage. Celtic are selling themselves and their fans short. It’s going to be a long season and we haven’t kicked a ball yet in our domestic games.
the best thing to do is get knocked out of the europa league next week, for 2 reasons 1 there is no money in it , and 2 we cant play on 4 fronts , 3 domestic trophies and europe.
Comments about “shambles year after year” are sour grapes because up until last year it was heading for 10 in a row and fans were happy. As for Howe leading us down the “garden path” that is utter garbage fact is we never paid enough for him and did not agree to his demand og bringing his own backroom staff, also never paid for Gordon, Toney and McGinn. Why bring in a guy in Angie with no clue about european football, I would rather see Lambert, Owen Coyle yogi hughes or Peter Grant…and the treatment of Griff has been shocking.

Maybe now we will start signing players start with two goalkeepers , a fullbacks with a bit of presence and pace – no more midget defenders we have never replaced Lustig or Tierney . a midfield enforcer and a couple of forwards that can score 20 to 30 goals a season . Get a feel good factor back into the club. Get rid of Eddie, Christie, Rogic Turnball Ajieti and get Kennedy out of the club
Celtic season ticket holders have known since 2012 that Celtic PLC have deceitfully helped to rig Scottish football since 2012 to bring the Ibrox club into SPFL to maintain the Old Firm fixture. The Ibrox club came into the top league in 2016 with ticket priced £49 just like it was in 2012. Same club? If not then why did Celtic fans buy £49 tickets for our games v the Ibrox club in 2016? The answer is the PLC set a “ticket trap £49” in 2016 and Celtic fans bought these same priced tickets £49 in 2012/2016 so, same price of ticket but are they the same Ibrox club? Lots of Celtic fans say they are a different club, but pay the same price of ticket £49 as before, why? Have Celtic fans thrown out principles, integrity, self respect, not to mention trophy stripping, and £170 million to be paid back to HMRC, all of it stolen through EBT’s by the Ibrox club, and all of it used to cheat Celtic manager’s, player’s, and supporter’s out of 22 trophies during the David Murray era.
But here’s the trick.
In 2016 the Ibrox club won promotion to the SPFL.
The Ibrox club had just defeated Ronny Deila in the SCSF.
The Ibrox club was coming into the SPFL without a single trophy stripped, or a single dime being paid back of the £170 million heist from HMRC.
Celtic fans were starting to question what way the Celtic PLC would address the Ibrox club, new club, old club, or what?
Then BANG!!!?
The Celtic PLC pulled Brendan Rodgers out of a hat as manager!
Brilliant we all thought, well the trophy haul and hun skelpins were certainly brilliant and superbly celebrated by me at least.
But but but but.
Was the appointment of Brendan Rodgers merely a “trick” pulled by Celtic PLC?

None of this mattered anymore and it didn’t matter to the extent that, Celtic fans had shown the PLC board that, Celtic fans were all talk about the issues mentioned above.
And the PLC had sussed out the extent of Celtic fans resolve. We had none!
So being the sharks that PLC’s normally are, they saw an opportunity to mugg Celtic fans over the old club, new club argument and Ibrox PLC and Celtic PLC agreed to “fix a old firm ticket trap” old club v Celtic £49, new club v Celtic £49, and Celtic supporters bought these tickets and by doing so these mugged Celtic supporters had just agreed that the old club was the same as the new club in their eyes. Mugged? You better believe it.
Last year the Ibrox club put out a press release that “Rangers will need £11 million to complete the season.” This news was given 20 second’s coverage on both STV Scotland Today News, and BBC Reporting Scotland and hourly on local radio news bulletin’s.
The next day Celtic played guff at Hamilton and continued for the rest of the season playing the same guff, it was as though Neil Lennon had been told by Lawwell to go to Lennox town and baffle the players with stupid tactics and piss them off with stupifying team selections. Well thats my guess. How else does anyone explain how an entire team can all start to play guff all at the same time until the season ends?
But, Celtic fans have had evidence since 2012 that the PLC has enabled the corruption of Scottish football to keep the Ibrox club alive even if it meant throwing not only the 10 in a row season under the bus, but Celtic season ticket holders being thrown under as well.
Now, by doing all of this the Celtic PLC has put the ball into the Celtic season ticket holders court, and Celtic supporters have responded by purchasing 48k of season tickets for next season. I mean how will things change if the mugged keep rewarding their muggers?
Celtic fans are now looking like the biggest bunch of gullibillies that the world has ever seen.
The disaster at the club isn’t the PLC’s fault – its Celtic fans who are totally there to be took.
Idiots doesn’t even begin to describe today’s Celtic fans.
Do the Celtic season ticket holders even know that when Brendan Rodgers left us, the balance sheet was £178 million. The start of the next season there was £43 million on the balance sheet and only 2 Celtic fans have asked where the missing £130 million has disappeared to from Celtic’s balance sheet, and both of us who asked about this were dismissed from the “Sentinel Celts” blog as good as trolls! I kid you not. What kind of support have we become?

This is shocking. Tonight’s performance is a drop in the ocean compared to the corruption inside our PLC board and an unquestioning supporter base who have become mugs for a billionaire PLC.
This is another guess, are our PLC disappearing money from the balance sheet to bung to the Ibrox club to keep them alive?
Let’s face it if there is another Ibrox administration event, which might mean them being demoted or whatever, but it must be going through Celtic PLC’s mind that if another administration event takes place, Celtic Park could have 30k empty seats for another 3 years that must surely go through the PLC’s mind?
Anyway PLC’s are only doing what they do – mugg people.
Celtic supporters are the most to blame in all of this for not but boycotting and getting rid of the PLC.
Boycott season tickets by delaying them past the renewal date by six weeks and see the share value tumble all the way down till shares are worth zero, then replace the PLC CEO model with a fans cooperative.
I fear that at least another one, maybe two, horrible season’s will have to be endured by the Celtic fans of today to make them angry enough to demand change.
